The public is invited to “Meet Your Legislators” on Saturday, April 15 at 10 am at the Welcome Center in Jefferson. The event is sponsored by the board of Thomas Jefferson Gardens of Greene County as a community service as the importance of an informed electorate was a strongly held belief of former President Thomas Jefferson.
State Senator Jesse Green and Representative Carter Nordman, who represent Greene County in the Iowa legislature, have committed to attend the forum. Matt Wetrich, executive director for Jefferson Matters: A Main Street & Chamber community, will serve as moderator. Questions will be taken from the audience in writing submitted on cards to the moderator. The event will conclude at 11 am. This is the final forum for this legislative session.
