An annual event is happening this weekend ahead of when the Jefferson Municipal Pool will close for the year.

The Doggie Paddle event allows canines and their owners to visit the pool from 1-3pm Saturday. Admission cost is $4 per dog, and humans are free with a paid canine. All proceeds will be given to the Animal Protection and Education Charity of Paton. Organizer Linn Price says any additional donations will also be accepted.

APE is a non-profit organization that offers low cost spay and neutering services.
