Since the 2013 season, the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs football team has constantly had excellent teams year in and year out, and will be hoping to continue the tradition this upcoming season.

Since 2013, DCG has had at least 9 wins every season outside of two, and have been very good year in and year out. That included a pair of 10 win teams in 2014 and 2017, as Mustang football has constantly been very good these last few year and usually been in the state rankings for class 3A.

Last year, DCG went 6-0 during the pandemic shortened regular season, before getting bounced by Carlisle in the playoffs. DCG also went undefeated in the 2017 regular season as well, as they have been very good for many years.

The Mustangs will be in 4A this year with five classes now in high school football, and have put together a schedule that is going to challenge them, as they hope to make a return to the state playoffs and hopefully a trip to Cedar Falls.
