Two people were hospitalized after a rollover accident in Greene County Saturday.
According the Jefferson Police Department, a 2015 GMC Acadia was traveling westbound on Highway 30 towards Jefferson around 6pm when the driver lost control. The vehicle went into the north ditch, rolling over and striking a utility pole before coming to rest on the driver’s side.
Two individuals, whose identity has not yet been released, were trapped in the vehicle. An officer was able to remove the sunroof of the vehicle and extract the two people from the SUV. Both were transported to the Greene County Medical Center’s emergency room by Greene County EMS for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation by the Greene County Sheriff’s office. The Jefferson Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
