The Chief Deputy Sheriff was dispatched to 200 block of Main Street in Grand Junction to help locate the mother of a three year old female that was found wandering the street. The parent was located and was advised that the Department of Human Services was contacted and will investigate case.

The Chief Deputy Sheriff spoke with a resident in the 800 block of East Percival Street in Grand Junction about a harassment concern.

The Chief Deputy Sheriff was asked to try and locate and stop a vehicle that had passed a Greene County Sheriff’s Office transport vehicle at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was located and stopped, west of Jefferson on Highway 30, and the driver was evaluated.

A deputy was advised of a suspicious vehicle at a residence in the 2300 block of G Avenue. The vehicle’s driver was determined to be visiting someone in the home and everything was in order.

A deputy was dispatched to the Pleasant Hill Church on Redwood Avenue to check the report of a light being left on in the church.

Friday, May 27th

A deputy was asked to stand by and possibly assist a Jefferson Police Officer with a call in Jefferson. The deputy was not needed at that time.

A deputy was dispatched to the Lake Side Golf Course for an alarm activation. The buildings were found to be secure.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
