A notice to Jefferson residents that due to the Memorial Day holiday, several businesses and offices will be closed on Monday, May 30th.

Jefferson City Hall, the Greene County Courthouse, the Greene County Chamber office, Greene County Community Center, Greene County Extension office, the Jefferson Public Library and post office will all be closed.

The Jefferson Library would like to remind everyone that nothing is due to the library when it is closed in observance of a holiday.

The City would like to remind its citizens that garbage routes will be delayed one day due to the holiday.  That means garbage won’t be picked up on Monday and those routes will be moved to Tuesday, then Tuesday’s routes will be delayed to Wednesday and Wednesday’s routes will be collected on Thursday.  Routes will return to normal the following week.
