Percival Scientific, Inc has been selected for the President’s “E” Award for Exports.

The award is the highest honor a U.S. entity can receive for making a significant contribution to the expansion of U.S. exports.

The Perry based company was the only one in Iowa to receive the award.

U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker presented the award at a ceremony in Washington DC this week.  She says “the ‘E’ Awards Committee was very impressed with Percival’s customization of its product line to fit the needs of customers in export markets.” Pritzker goes on to say “the company’s creation of export supported jobs was also particularly notable” and the company’s achievements have “undoubtedly contributed to national export expansion efforts that support the U.S. economy and create American jobs.”

Percival Scientific has roots in Iowa dating back to 1886.  They relocated to the new, state-of-the-art facility in Perry in 2000.
