A male suspect accused of stealing a truck from Wild Rose Jefferson’s parking lot has been identified and authorities arrested him last week.
Jefferson Police Sergeant Heath Enns says 43 year-old Daniel Pierce of Colfax is charged with Class C Felonies for first degree theft and possession of stolen property from the incident earlier this month.
We’ve previously reported that Pierce stole Craig Flack of Jefferson’s 2008 Chevrolet Silverado pickup from the Wild Rose parking lot on Sunday, May 1st. The vehicle was later found in a muddy farm field near the Dallas and Greene County line at U Avenue and 340th Street on Monday afternoon. Inside the truck were keys to a reported stolen 2015 Dodge Caravan that was taken from Pleasantville on April 26th. It was then reported that Pierce walked to Rippey and stole a 2012 Ford F-150 truck.
Enns says he received several tips that the accused was the man from the casino video surveillance photo. After working with the Jasper County Sheriff’s office and the Colfax and Pleasant Hill police departments, Enns says Pierce was caught burglarizing a home on May 5th by the homeowners in Jasper County. Authorities arrested him and he currently being held in the Jasper County Jail. Once he is released, he will be transported to the Greene County Jail for his charges.
Enns would like to thank everyone for their help with the investigation.
