The city limits of Perry may be expanding in the near future.
A public hearing to discuss voluntary annexation has been set for the June 6th City Council meeting, City Administrator Sven Peterson explains.
“This is about 150 acres on the northeast side of town. Bringing it in to hopefully open up some more options for some residential housing lots. This kind of goes hand-in-hand with some of the housing incentives we’ve been working through. So hopefully sometime this year, into next year, we’ll see maybe some lots become available and maybe some renewed interested on building some homes in town.”
The property that may be annexed in is owned by CK properties, Charles and Julie Scheib and Jason and Tiffany Olejniczak.
