Clel BaudlerAs we’ve reported, the 2016 Iowa legislative session has adjourned.

Though legislators have known they were nearing adjournment for a few weeks, State Representative Clel Baudler says the closing days of the session always produce a lot of waiting. “Everything is narrowed down. This is the time of year, every year, that we hurry up and wait. When there’s an agreement, the bill drafters have to get the language right, then that gets approved, which takes about six hours per amendment. When there’s an agreement, we get the results six hours later in  hard copy and that’s what takes so long to shut down.”

Stay tuned to Raccoon Valley Radio for a complete recap of the session.
