The Perry boys and girls golf teams hosted the annual Witmer/Dunphy Co-ed Invitational Monday at the Perry Golf and Country Club. The meet is named after longtime golf coaches Dean Witmer and Larry Dunphy.  The meet is unusual in the fact that they combine the boys and girls scores to determine the team champion.

Perry placed 3rd out of four teams with a combined total of 384.  The boys fired a 173 with Noah Wilkening’s 42 leading the way while Dane McCarty popped a 43 and Ryan Rathje and Connor Nielsen 44’s.  The Jayettes checked in with a 211.  Brooke Huntington shot a 51, Alyssa Kruger 52 while Ellie Nielsen, Hannah Roberts and Skylar Cunningham all shot a 54.

Gilbert won the meet with a 343 while Nevada was second with 365.
