lions clubThe third annual free bicycle safety course, sponsored by the Stuart Lions Club, takes place Saturday from 10 a.m.-noon at Stuart Elementary School.

Organizer Larry Frazee says a variety of different skills will be taught to attendees. “Some of the stations set up for the kids to participate in are making sure their helmet fits and their bike is the right size. We’ll talk about the rules of riding bikes, including cars taking precedence over bikes and watching for holes in the road, branches and other hazards.”

He adds that a limited number of free bicycle helmets will be available to attendees.

Frazee will tell us more about the event today on Let’s Talk Guthrie County. It airs during the 9 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. hours on K107.9 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
