Greene County High School’s girls’ golf team hosts Gilbert today at The Hill west of Grand Juntion at 4 p.m. This is a make-up meet. The Rams are enjoying one of the program’s best seasons in years as Coach Heath Telleen’s squad is 10-2 and is coming off a victory on April 22 at Dayton in the Southeast Valley Invitational.

Sophomore Rachel Danielson and senior Katelyn Hagen are leading the Rams. Danielson entered the week ranked tenth in Class 3A in nine-hole stroke average at 47.28 and Hagen was number 80 at 53.62.

For the Greene County boys, sophomore Elijah Block is the team leader with a stroke average of 42.90 for nine holes.

Both Greene County teams are scheduled to play on April 28 when the girls play 18 holes vs. Roland-Story at Story City at 2 p.m., and the boys host Saydel (Des Moines) at Lakeside Golf Course northwest of Grand Junction at 4 p.m.
