After the week three class rankings came out yesterday, the ADM boys soccer teams finds themselves still sitting comfortably in the 6th spot, yielding an 8-1 record.
The continual pursuit of victory has been strong with the ADM boys soccer program and through nine games this season, the Tigers appear to be performing at a slightly higher level than last year. When asked how he felt about this season compared to last season at this point, ADM boys head soccer coach Bill Shields told Raccoon Valley Radio he believes this years squad is surprisingly ahead from last year.
“We might even be a little ahead of last year’s team which would have surprised me before the season started but overall I’m pleased with where we’re at and I like our progress,” stated coach Shields.
That progress over the past few seasons have resulted in larger turnouts each and every season, and as ADM activities director Reece Satre explains, the Tiger soccer team is experiencing their largest turnout in quite some time.
“We’ve got a lot of boys freshmen soccer players out this year and probably the largest number they’ve had out in general which says a lot right there when we can go out and play a ninth grade game, a JV game, and a Varsity game,” stated Reece.
Both the boys JV and Varsity squads will be in action tomorrow night as they take on Ballard High School.
