Greene County Medical Center’s Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) was recently recognized for their dedicated volunteer work.

Iowa SHIIP Director Kris Gross said the medical center has been apart of SHIIP since their inception 25 years ago. “We want to thank them for their contributions and service that make a big impact for Medicare recipients in Greene County.”

The hospital was honored at a recent awards luncheon.

 There are over 350 trained SHIIP volunteer counselors in Iowa to help those with questions about Medicare and health related insurance. A representative is at the medical center every Tuesday. Call Mary Ann Wright at 386-2114 to schedule an appointment.
