Perry senior guard Shammond Ivory signed his letter of intent Friday to play basketball next year at DMACC in Boone.  Ivory led the Bluejays in scoring this year and closed out a record setting career as Perry’s all time leading scorer. Former Iowa State guard and Kingdom Hoops Director Jake Sullivan was in the crowd Friday during Ivory’s signing.  Sullivan had worked with Ivory through the years in improving the guard’s game in a number of areas.

“I really want to thank Jake and all that Kingdom Hoops did for me,” added Ivory.  “The thing about AAU ball which makes it so different is how physical it can be.  I mean there is a ton of contact when you play that type of ball.  You have to be strong and tough with it otherwise you won’t make it.  I like that type of basketball.  I like the physical nature of the game.  It really made me a better player.”
