State Representative Clel Baudler has concerns about his former employer.
The retired Iowa State Trooper of over 30 years says the Department of Public Safety will likely see no notable increase in budget appropriations this year. “My old organization, the Department of Public Safety, is basically not getting any kind of a bump. They’re 110 officers short and so far this month another nine officers have quit, retired and changed jobs and gone to work in private industry, basically working in the same type of private security jobs.”
Baudler will give us a full legislation update today on Let’s Talk Guthrie County. It airs during the 9 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. hours on K107.9 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
