Defending Class 2A State Champion Panorama won the team title by 15 strokes Thursday at the Des Moines Christian Invitational at Jester Park. Greene County was seventh in the eight team field. The Panthers shot 329 for 18 holes with South Hamilton (Jewell) next at 344, followed by the host DMC Lions 347, PCM (Monroe) 355, Pella Christian 368, Coon Rapids-Bayard 375, Greene County 402 and Carlisle 404.
The Panthers had five of the six lowest scores led by medalist Adam Hackfort’s 79. Reid Cobb and George Appleseth each shot 83.
Elijah Block shot 95 to lead the Rams with Isaiah Yoder at 98, Bryce Burkhardt 101, and Britton Gallagher 108.
The Rams host Carlisle tomorrow (April 16) at Jefferson Community Golf Course in a boys’ only 18 hole dual meet starting at 8:30 a.m.
