The Perry Jayette soccer team could not overcome a slow start as Winterset found the net twice early in securing last night’s 4-1 victory over Perry.  It was the season debut for the Jayettes.  Freshman Natalie Martinez scored the lone goal for the Jayettes.  The Perry JV trailed 3-0 when the game was called at halftime due to lightning in the area.  Perry will return to action tomorrow night when they travel to Carlisle.
