The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday.
The Board discussed the possibility of prorating benefits, including vacation, sick and personal time for part-time employees who work less than 30 hours per week. The policy would affect some dispatchers, transfer station employees and a limited number of other employees in the Courthouse.
The Board took no action on the issue, but Supervisors Mike Dickson, Jerry Caraher and Everett Grasty all stated they were strongly against the idea. Grasty stated that if an employee wants full-time benefits, then they should find a full-time job.
