The State Legislature is on pace to adjourn much earlier than in recent years.

State Representative Clel Baudler says it was nice to get a major legislative roadblock, supplemental state aid, done in March, but there is still plenty to do before they are done for the year. “There’s going to be hold ups I think on how we are going to divvy up the remaining dollars of new money. I know the Senate wants it all to go to Medicaid, but that won’t happen. I don’t know how long this fight will take, but I would estimate we’ll be done closer to late April than the middle of April.”
