The annual Greene County High School Early Bird Coed Track & Field meet in late March at Linduska Field in Jefferson is a non-scored meet. That may be especially good news for the host Rams this year for a couple of reasons. The Greene County schools have been on Spring Break all of this week, so a certain percentage of the athletes are on various vacations. For those that stayed home during the break, practices have been less than the norm.

Some of the Rams are in Dominican Republic this week on a Spanish trip and won’t be returning home until late Sunday night. Some 18 hours after getting home, they’ll be competing in a track meet after not practicing for more than a week.

Greene County plays host to Paton-Churdan, Guthrie Center, Woodward-Granger, Manson-Northwest Webster, South Hamilton (Jewell), and CMB (Maxwell).
