stuart cityA unique children’s program for shy and insecure readers is coming to the Stuart Public Library.

Director Sandy Pollard says  ‘Reading with Joy’ is based off the theory that reading to a dog can help kids who are nervous about reading aloud. “It’s meant especially for kids who might be embarrassed to read out loud or might not read at quite the level they would like. They can come in and read to Joy. Studies show that kids are more relaxed when they read to dogs.”

The program is being offered by appointment only. For more information call 515-523-2152.
