The Perry girls’ basketball team excelled not only on the court but also in the classroom this season.

The Iowa Girls Coaches Association has named senior Victoria Hegstrom to the Academic All-State team.  To achieve the honor, Hegstrom needed to earn a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.75 and a minimum ACT score of 27 or SAT score of 1200.

Additionally, the team has earned the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union’s Distinguished in Academic Achievement Award for having a team GPA average of at least 3.25, and Raccoon River Conference Basketball Academic Honors.
