The Greene County Chamber Board is under new leadership.
Ora Stevens is the new Board President. Past-President Omega Sang resigned from the position to devote her time to her family. She was elected as Board President in July of 2013 and is the store manager at Wells Fargo in Jefferson. Sang is confident that the Chamber’s future looks bright as she steps down as President. “It has been my pleasure to serve as Chamber president during a challenging year in which we made tough decisions, revisioning our purpose and role within a changing structure of community organizations.” Sang will continue to be a board member and the chair of the organization committee.
Stevens is the owner of Uptown Cafe and co-owner of Homestead Coffee and Bakery. He is also the chair of the business promotions committee for the Chamber. He is very excited to see what lays ahead for the Chamber.
Stevens takes over as president effective today.
