Six Greene County High School students will be moving onto the Iowa High School State Individual Speech contest later this month.

Speech coach Kelley Gray says David Petersen and Victoria Sims qualified in music theater, Regan Lamoureux in expository address, Aly Matthews and Jordan Davis for poetry and Michael Kennedy in prose. In order to qualify for state, a student must receive a division I-rating from their respective judge. Matthews, Petersen, Lamoureux and Sims qualified an event last year for state.

Greene County will compete at the state contest on Saturday, March 12th at Des Moines North High School.
