Greene County Iowa State University Extension is offering a special program starting next week.
“Your Money, Your Future: Making Ends Meet” course will help individuals financially plan for their futures by giving them strategies and tools to succeed. Some of the topics that will be covered in the two-day class include planning for financial emergencies, using financial accounts wisely, getting free copies of your credit score and how to improve it and preventing overdraft fees, plus several more. ISU Family Finance Specialist Carol Ehlers will lead the program.
It will be on Mondays on February 29th and March 7th. It will be from 5:30 to 7pm at the Greene County Early Learning Center at 204 West Madison Street in Jefferson. A free meal and childcare will be provided at both classes. Pre-registrations are required by the end of the day today.
The program is sponsored by Peoples Trust and Savings Bank and Home State Bank.
