The Guthrie Center wrestling team impressively qualified three wrestlers for this year’s state individual tournament in Des Moines. Head coach Shawn Danker says the experience the three qualifiers, Blaine Beeler, Logan Scheuermann and Cade Suhr will bring back to the team next year will help wrestlers at each weight class, thanks to their variance in weight. “We got a state participant at 106 (Blaine Beeler) that can help all of the lighter weights, then Logan Scheuermann at 138 can help kids a few weights below and above to mentor them on everything he experienced at state and then Cade Suhr at 220 pounds can help the heavyweights.”

Beeler will be a sophomore next year. Scheuermann and Suhr will both be seniors.
