Makeup Days for Greene County School District

With lots of snowfall and messy road conditions this winter, area schools have cancelled classes several times already.

For the Greene County School District, they’ve cancelled four days so far this school year due to weather and had one early dismissal. Superintendent Tim Christensen says they are adding two student days to the end of the school year. With the additional days, that means the last day for the 2015-16 school year will be on June 1st.

Christensen notes that the calendar change doesn’t impact graduation, which will be on May 22nd. He adds that if they cancel classes any more this year, the make up days will be added onto the end of the school year in June.
