2016 will be a big year for boat registrations in Guthrie County.

County Recorder Jacki Sloss says many three-year boat licenses expire this year. The County will gain almost $2,100 in revenue by keeping $1.25 of each of the expected 1,675 boat registrations.

Boat registrations cost between $29-$154 depending on the size of the boat. State law dictates that all boats 17 feet or longer and any boat that carries a lien needs to be titled, with the exception of canoes, kayaks and inflatable vessels.
