Iowa is one of only six states where daily fantasy sports remains illegal and State Representative Clel Baudler says the activity is degenerate and wants to keep it illegal. “It is gambling. I don’t care how you dress it up, it’s still gambling. Like the old adage goes, you can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig.”

State Representative Jake Highfill has announced that he intends to reintroduce a bill to the legislature legalizing fantasy sports payouts this session.
