Midwest Partnership is looking for nominations for two awards to be given at their annual meeting next month.

Executive Director Sarah Gomez says the Entrepreneur of the Year Award recognizes the spirit and substantial growth of a small business.  Nominees must be a business within the four-county region of Greene, Guthrie, Audubon and Adair;  have demonstrated some level of entrepreneurial success and securing a large contract, using an innovative process or entrepreneurial ideas that result in meaningful improvements for the company.

The Guy Powell Award is given to someone that exemplifies excellence in leadership and passion for economic development in the region.  The award is in memory of Midwest Partnership Development’s past president Guy Powell.

The deadline to submit nominations is by January 8th.  Applications are available on their website at midwestpartnership.com and completed forms can be returned to Gomez via email at sgomez@midwestpartnership.com or by fax to 515-523-1397.  You can also mail them to P.O. Box 537, Stuart, Iowa 50250.

The annual meeting will be held on January 22nd.
