Some last minute donations by area organizations have been a major boost to the Stuart Cottage Pantry this holiday season.
Chairperson Vi Jones says thousands of food items have recently been donated thanks to food drives by West Central Valley Middle School, Raccoon Valley Radio and others. “We’ve had people do food drives for us, like Raccoon Valley Radio, schools and girl and boy scouts. People have also donated money to us, which we can go to the Food Bank of Iowa and buy food cheaper there.”
The pantry is open Wednesdays from 1:30-5:00 p.m. at 204 South Division Street, beneath the Raccoon Valley Radio station.
