A snow ordinance will go into effect in cities throughout Adair and Guthrie counties this weekend.

The ordinance is enforceable through the Iowa Code and prohibits parking, abandoning or leaving any vehicle on any public street, alley or city owned parking area during snow removal operations unless the snow has been removed from said street, alley or parking area and the snow has stopped falling.

The ordinance is in effect November 1st-April 1st.
