Greene County lost in three sets to Kuemper Catholic in Carroll at Kuemper High School Monday night to end the 2015 volleyball season. Coach Donna Carhill’s team finished 15-22 while the second rated Knights advance to Thursday night’s Class 3A regional semifinal with a 26-3 mark.
Final statistics from the match show the Rams were 34 of 37 serving for .919 serving efficiency. Hannah Promes was 12 for 12 with two ace serves, and those were the only ace serves of the night for the Rams. Katelyn Hagen went five for five serving, and Nadia Fisher was six for seven. Fisher had the lone block for the Rams, a solo block. The team had 24 digs with seven from Hagen and six by Alison Gallagher. Promes had all 21 assists during the match. Fisher had 16 kills, which accounted for just under half of the Rams’ total points in the 8-24, 12-25, 13-25 loss. No other Greene County player had more than two kills and the team total in kills was 22.
