The Perry football team fell to the Humboldt Wildcats by the score of 35-13 on senior night. A mild and clear October night turned into a downpour on the home crowd at Dewey Field. Perry fell behind 21-0 in the second quarter on a 17 yard touchdown run by Humboldt quarterback Drew Thomas. The bluejay offense would respond with a 17 play drive that culminated in an 8 yard touchdown pass from Ryan Rathje to fellow senior Solomon Pierce on 4th down. Perry trailed 21-6 at the break, but opened the second half with a 13 play drive that ate up exactly 6 minutes, ending with another touchdown grab by Pierce. Clinging to a 21-13 lead in the 4th quarter and without injured tailback Kyle McBeth, Trayton Harris came off the bench to seal the win for the Wildcats with two rushing touchdowns.

Ryan Rathje turned in a nice performance completing 12 of 21 passes for 91 yards and two scores, while senior tailback Eli Saemisch ran the ball 18 times for 86 yards.
