A deputy was dispatched to a car-deer accident on Highway 30 near Orchard Avenue. A 2003 GMC Envoy being driven by Deannda Diane Lopez 50, of Jefferson was eastbound on Highway 30 when a deer ran onto the roadway and was struck by the Lopez vehicle. Lopez was not injured but his SUV sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene.
A deputy assisted the Department of Human Services with the removal of a child from a residence in Grand Junction.
A deputy was dispatched to check a vehicle that was impeding traffic flow on Highway 144 near 250th Street. The vehicle had run out of fuel and was soon removed by the owner.
A deputy was asked to locate a small dog that had been struck by a vehicle in the 100 block of West Percival Street in Grand Junction. The owner was located and told the location of the deceased dog.
A deputy was asked to check the welfare of a small child in the 600 block of Sand Street in Churdan.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
