A pilot program through “Annie’s Project” dedicated to strengthening women’s roles in the modern farm enterprise is coming to Guthrie Center. Guthrie County Extension Office Coordinator Vicki Frohling says the “Women Managing Crops” course will focus specifically on crop production. The program is being offered Thursday evenings November 5th, 12th and 19th. The cost is $50 for the three sessions and a meal will be offered each week. Planning is already underway for the 23rd annual Sarah’s Holiday Caring Program.
Chairperson Kristy Lonsdale says for more than two decades the program has provided numerous families in Dexter, Menlo, Redfield and Stuart with gifts and clothing during the holiday season.
Bake sale dates for the program will be announced soon but donations can be made now at First State Bank in Stuart or clothing contributions can be brought to 119 NW 2nd Street in Stuart.
