It was a battle of highly ranked Class 1A teams in Panora Friday night as the Panorama Panthers hosted Van Meter. The Panthers were able to hang with the tough Van Meter team through the first half. The game was tied at 14-14 at the end of the second quarter. A rock solid defense and some key special teams plays gave Van Meter the edge in the second half and they walk away with the 28-14 victory. The Panthers now have a record of 5-1 on the season and will travel to Des Moines Christian next Friday night.

It was a high scoring Homecoming game in Guthrie Center Friday night. The Tigers scored first on a short run by Logan Scheurman, but 104 total points scored later, Grand View Christian takes the win by a score of 62-48. The loss is the Tigers fourth straight and they now have a record of 1-5 this season. The Tigers head to East Union of Afton next Friday night.

The West Central Valley Wildcats couldn’t find success during their Homecoming Friday night in Stuart. The Wildcats are defeated by Clarinda 75-12. West Central Valley is now 0-6. They head to East Sac County next Friday night.
