Last season, the Perry football team handed Algona one of its 8 losses, by the score of 21-13. This season, a new offensive approach coupled with a talented offensive line has rejuvenated the Bulldogs, who currently sit at 4-1 (2-1) and in 2nd place in district 2. Algona is averaging 282 rushing yards per game, with several running backs sharing the load.

When Perry head coach Jason Olejniczak was asked about the Bulldog’s offensive attack, he responded, “They’ve gone to a basic, old school running attack that is a great offense, and with the type of linemen they have,  they can certainly execute it. They’re doing things that fit their team, and they’re doing it well.”

Perry welcomes Algona to Dewey Field on Homecoming night. Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm with pregame coverage beginning at 6:30 pm.
