The Greene County Board of Supervisors will meet today.
The Board will consider for approval a joint drainage district consent agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation, a change order for another drainage district and set a completion hearing date and a joint request for a ditch cleanout in another drainage district.
The Board will also consider a second reading for an industrial tax exemption ordinance, a 28E agreement between Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division and the Greene County Sheriff’s office for tobacco, alternative nicotine and vapor products with compliance checks by law enforcement, the County Treasurer’s investment and driver’s license report for August and a purchase request for a G4500 Chevrolet Diesel chassis for remount and emergency support function updates for 2015.
The Board will also hear an update of the City of Jefferson from City Administrator Mike Palmer and a county-wide Emergency Medical Services update with Dennis Morlan.
The Board conducted its canvass of votes on Friday for last Tuesday’s school board and bond referendum election. No changes were made following the canvass. Ashley Johnston and John McConnell are officially elected to the Greene County School Board. Jennifer Maach, Dave Palmer and Steve Burrell are officially elected to the Paton-Churdan School Board. Greene County Schools $20 million referendum failed by a 60 percent no vote.
Today’s meeting starts at 8:30am in the boardroom of the courthouse in Jefferson.
