The Perry Community School District Board of Education will meet in regular session Monday.
Items on the agenda include accepting the canvass of board election results and recognition of retiring Board President Dan Wilhemi for his eight years of service to the district.
Jim Lutmer, Kenia Alarcon and Linda Andorf will then be sworn in to start their four-year term on the Board, followed by the election of a board president and other officers, setting a date and time for regular Board meetings, approving Board committee selections and the appointment of an Iowa Association of School Boards legislative representative and Dallas County Conference Board representative.
The Board will then hear an insurance policy update from Barry Bengtson and a teaching and learning director update from Kevin Vidergar.
General business items include approval of a high school trip to France and Spain next summer, approval of annual improvement goals, approval of the master form and contracts for games and officials and approval of the athletic director being able to use the board president’s electronic signature.
A Title I application is then expected to be approved, along with participation in the Iowa Drug and Alcohol Testing Program, approval of authorized signatures on all Raccoon Valley Bank accounts, revisions to board policies and personnel changes.
The meeting takes place at 6pm in the Brady Library at Perry High School.
