The West Central Valley football team, booster club and activities department will honor veterans and emergency service workers at tonight’s home football game and remember those who lost their lives fourteen years ago in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Activities Director Tod Broman says kickoff is set for 7 p.m., but he’s inviting veterans who are rooting for the home and away teams to arrive a little bit early. “During the game, we will be recognizing our veterans and current military members. I’m asking all people, even from Carroll Kuemper, we’ll be honoring their veterans as well, to arrive at around 6:20 p.m., because we’ll be having the veterans out on the field at about 6:40 p.m.”
Broman will tell us more about tonight’s ceremony today on Let’s Talk Guthrie County. It airs during the 9 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. hours on K107.9 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
