Main Street Guthrie Center Director Julie Bailey recently attended the Iowa Downtown Summit at Valley Junction in West Des Moines. She says a workshop she attended at the summit on social media use, mirrors what a recent market study of downtown Guthrie Center found. “One of the things we had found in our market study for downtown Guthrie Center is that our consumers are using social media, but our businesses are not necessarily using social media. I went to that workshop to try and get some techniques and information that I could exchange with the businesses to encourage them to be more active on social media.”
