It’s rivalry football week at West Central Valley High School. The Wildcats will head south to face one of their major adversaries, Nodaway Valley, Friday night and Activities Director Tod Broman says there’s an interesting twist to this year’s contest. “One thing that’s going to make it a little bit more interesting this Friday, is that our former football head coach Tony Hooper, is now the assistant football coach at Nodaway Valley.”

Eric Addy, in his first year as head coach of the Wildcats, says he’s been getting lots of encouragement for Friday’s game. “Multiple people have come up to me since the game Friday and were just like, ‘I just want you to beat the crap out of Nodaway Valley’, and giving me all types of words of encouragement. From what I’ve heard, there’s a lot of bad blood, and I’m a sucker for a rivalry game. I love to play up this rivalry.”

Friday’s game is set to begin at 7 p.m. at Nodaway Valley.
