September is National Library Card sign-up month.

Perry Public Library Director Mary Murphy reminds parents that library cards are the most important school supply of all.

She invites all community members to stop by and pick up their free library card.  All you need to do is bring a picture identification card, along with a separate verification of your mailing address.

In addition to books, library cards also give you access to audio books, art prints, CDs, DVDs, exercise kits, games and more. Not to mention online databases and ebooks.

The Perry Public Library is open weekdays from 10am-8pm, Saturday from 10am-5pm and Sunday 1-4pm starting Labor Day.
