Guthrie County’s Springbrook State Park has been recognized as an excellent place for an adventure. According to a list compiled by Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) staff, Springbrook State Park is the fifth best park in the state for adventurers. The DNR notes Springbrook State Park as being one of the best places to view wildlife in the state, which features beavers, waterfowl, deer, muskrats, foxes, coyotes and raccoons.
