The Guthrie Center Tigers Cross Country team begins their season tomorrow with a home meet. Head Coach Colin Shawgo says the route for the race is brand new and should provide an enjoyable experience for those running the race and watching it. “The big reason why we’re so excited for our course is because it’s so spectator friendly. It’s really wide open with only one spot where it’s restricted. As an added bonus, you can see almost the entire course from our press box, so we’re going to be announcing updates and lead changes as the race goes on.”
Shawgo says for the best viewing spots, stick near the practice field, the track or the starting line. The race starts at 5 p.m. Thursday in Guthrie Center.
