As we’ve reported, Grand View Christian, a small high school on the northeast side of Des Moines is wanting to join the West Central Activities Conference. West Central Valley Activities Director Tod Broman says an objective mediation team, made up of representatives from the Iowa High School Athletic Association, Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union and a third party individual have made a recommendation on the matter. “We just got word that the mediation team is recommending that Grand View Christian not be allowed into our conference.”

Broman says he and other officials around the West Central Conference didn’t think Grand View Christian was a good fit, because of their tiny enrollment and far travel distance.
