The Perry High School football team is looking for your help. The Bluejays are in need of sports drinks to be used throughout the course of the 9 week regular season. Tiffany Olejniczak is trying to round up enough Gatorades and Powerades to keep the team hydrated during the season and upcoming road games.
“The CMB scrimmage was great, but it took away our sports drink scrimmage night. There is a collection in the lobby at the Raccoon Valley Bank. We currently have about 80 bottles and we need 400 for our away games this season.”
Perry normally has an in-house scrimmage at Dewey Field with admission being a sports drink. That opportunity was lost when Perry traveled to Baxter Friday night for a preseason scrimmage. As a result, the Bluejays are really short of drinks.
The Perry football team normally gets a boxed meal for their long road trips when boarding the bus and a snack meal for their shorter road trips. Any help the public can give will really be appreciated. All sports drinks can be dropped off in the lobby at the Raccoon Valley Bank in Perry.
